Legal
Terms of use, disclaimer and privacy policy for the Tenrai website and services.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms of use, the disclaimer and the privacy policy apply to this website and to the other websites, software and services of Tenrai Technologies, such as the wallet, the explorer, the API, the documentation and the mining software. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Terms of use
Who we are
Tenrai Technologies develops the Tenrai blockchain and the software around it. You can reach us by email at team@tenrai-technologies.org or on Discord at discord.tenrai-technologies.org.
A decentralized network
Tenrai is a public, decentralized network: independent miners produce its blocks and independent validators make them final. We do not control the network. We cannot stop, reverse or change transactions, and we cannot change what has been recorded on it.
You keep your keys
Tenrai wallets are self-custodial. Your recovery phrase and keys stay on your device; we never receive them, cannot access your coins and cannot restore a lost recovery phrase or password. Keep your recovery phrase safe and offline: whoever has it controls your coins.
Fair use
Use the services only for lawful purposes. Do not attack, overload or disrupt them, do not try to get around their limits, and do not use them for fraud, money laundering, evading sanctions or any other crime. We may limit or block access to protect the services and their users.
Availability and changes
We provide the services as they are and as available. We may change, pause or end any service at any time, for example for maintenance, security or protocol upgrades. Network rules such as block rates, fees and limits can change through upgrades.
Research and plans
Features described as research or plans, such as Proof of Useful Work, Trai AI and smart contracts, are not available. They may change, be delayed or never be built. Plans, targets and figures on this site are not promises.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including tax law, sanctions and the rules on crypto assets in your country. Do not use the services where this would be illegal. You must be of legal age in your country to use the wallet, to mine or to stake.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
General
If any part of these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. These terms are written in English; translations are for convenience only.
Risks and disclaimer
No financial advice
Nothing on this site or in our services is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is an offer, a recommendation or a solicitation to buy, sell or hold TRAI or any other asset. Make your own decisions and get professional advice where you need it.
Risks of crypto assets
Crypto assets are risky. Their price can change sharply and can fall to zero. Transactions are final and cannot be reversed. Software can contain errors, cryptography can be broken in the future, networks can stall or split, and laws can change. Lost keys mean lost coins. Only use what you can afford to lose.
No guarantee for content
We prepare the content of this site with care, but it can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Figures such as block rates, finality times and emission are targets or measurements under stated conditions. The whitepapers are older than the current state of Tenrai.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tenrai Technologies and its contributors are not liable for losses from using the services or from not being able to use them, from lost keys, failed or mistaken transactions, price changes, errors in software or content, or the acts of third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Mandatory consumer rights in your country stay unaffected.
Links to other services
This site links to services run by others, such as Discord, GitHub and exchanges. We have no control over them, their own terms and privacy policies apply, and a link is not an endorsement.
Privacy policy
In short
We collect as little as possible. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics and no advertising, and we never sell data.
When you visit this website
For every request, our web server records the IP address, the time, the requested address, the response code and size and how long the answer took. We need these records to deliver the site, find errors and defend it against attacks; this is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The records are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest, unless we need a specific record longer to investigate an attack. To stop abuse, the server also counts requests per IP address in memory and can block an address for a few minutes.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. If you switch between the light and the dark design, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. All files, including the fonts, come from our own server; the site loads nothing from third parties.
Wallet, explorer, API and mining
When you use the wallet, the explorer, the API or the mining software, your device sends requests to our servers, for example to look up a balance or to send a transaction. The servers process your IP address and the content of these requests to answer them and to protect the services, and keep records of them only as long as needed for that. Your recovery phrase and keys never leave your device.
The blockchain is public
Everything recorded on the Tenrai blockchain is public and permanent, including addresses, the amounts of public payments, payloads and the metadata of Trai Messenger chats. Every node keeps a copy, and nobody, including us, can change or delete it. Do not put personal data into payloads.
Other services
Discord, GitHub, exchanges and other services we link to process data under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR in the EU and the UK, the CCPA in California or the LGPD in Brazil give you rights over your personal data: to access, correct and delete it, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable form and to complain to a data protection authority. To use these rights, write to team@tenrai-technologies.org. As we keep server records only briefly, we can only answer for data we still hold.
Children
Our services are not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Open source and trademarks
Open-source software
Tenrai's open-source software is published under the Apache License 2.0. The license sets its own terms, including its disclaimer of warranty and liability.
Names and content
Tenrai, Tenrai Technologies, Traidag, TenQ, Trai AI, Trai Messenger and the Tenrai logo are names and marks of Tenrai Technologies. The texts and graphics of this site belong to Tenrai Technologies; you may quote them with a link to the source.
