* Raw protocol, block or slot interval. Real-world transaction inclusion also depends on world latency and on hardware and processing latency.

** Approximate layer-1 TPS capacity for typical transactions; actual throughput varies by transaction type and protocol-specific limits.

Figures for other networks are approximate, taken from their public documentation, and can change with their upgrades.

Not a like-for-like comparison

None of the other networks in this table is post-quantum, and that changes what their numbers mean. A classical signature takes 64 to 72 bytes; Tenrai's ML-DSA-65 signature takes 3,309 bytes and its public key 1,952. A simple payment with one input and two outputs is 3,611 bytes on Tenrai, or 5,563 bytes the first time a key spends. On Bitcoin, Kaspa or Solana it is about 220 bytes: a Tenrai payment carries 16 to 25 times the data.

Every one of those bytes has to travel to every node, be checked and be stored. With the same bandwidth, disk and memory, a post-quantum network can carry only a 16th to a 25th of the payments a classical one could. Seen the other way round, Tenrai's 500 payments per second move as much data as about 8,000 to 12,500 classical payments per second.

Each check costs more CPU as well: one ML-DSA-65 verification takes 96 microseconds on one core, roughly twice a classical signature check. Tenrai is built around these costs: a key is registered once, so later payments leave out its 1,952 bytes, a node checks each signature only once, and validators sign one cut every 2.5 seconds instead of every block.

Without post-quantum signatures, the same release software with its current optimizations would handle an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 transactions per second, steadily. Tenrai does not offer that trade: it is post-quantum by design, and there is no transaction on Tenrai without protection that lasts into the quantum age.

Block speed in motion

Each bar fills once per block and starts again. The race runs 50 times slower than real time, so the fast networks stay easy to follow.

Where Tenrai stands out

Post-quantum from the start

The only network in this comparison whose every key and signature is post-quantum.

Quantum security

Final, not probable

Proof-of-work chains only grow more likely to stay. A Tenrai cut is final for good within seconds.

How Traidag works

Fast, and private when you want it

50 blocks per second for everyday payments, plus optional TSP-2 stealth payments with zero-knowledge proofs.
